The show has its London premiere at the north London venue
Casting has been confirmed for The Marilyn Conspiracy at London’s Park Theatre.
Shedding light on the mysterious circumstances surrounding Marilyn Monroe’s death, it is directed by Guy Masterson and written by actress and writer Vicki McKellar. It reconstructs the last four days and immediate aftermath of Monroe’s demise.
Returning to the show are actors Susie Amy, Sally Mortemore, Angela Bull, and Vicky McKellar, reprising their roles from the 2018 production. Joining them are new additions Declan Bennett, David Calvitto, and Genevieve Gaunt, portraying Peter Lawford, Dr Ralph Greenson, and Marilyn Monroe, respectively.
The production team for The Marilyn Conspiracy includes director Guy Masterson, writers Vicki McKellar and Guy Masterson, set and costume designer Sarah Mills, associate set and costume designer Mike Lees, lighting designer Tom Turner, and sound designer and composer Jack Arnold. The production has not announced a casting director.
Masterson said today: ‘’When you go deeper, there were so many forces at play, it’s just too easy to take the official version of Marilyn’s death as gospel. We may never know the full truth, but this ‘whodunnit’ lays it all out for the audience to make their own judgment. It’s likely that the alternative storyline – the probable truth – could not bear thinking about. It was that big. But when you put it into context, it becomes a tragedy.”
The show runs from 19 June to 27 July.
