Liverpool-based vocal training company Sense of Sound has announced its new public singing courses commencing in September.
Cast members from West End musicals including Chicago, Blood Brothers and Sound of Music have all selected the award-winning trainers at the company.
The Sense of Sound Choir has also performed with music artist Seal, during the Royal Variety Performance, and they are currently on a sell-out tour with Salford-born singer Russell Watson.
From September, Sense of Sound announces two courses for 16-year-olds and over from its base located at the Bluecoat in Liverpool city centre. They are:
– An Introduction to Singing: The course runs for two consecutive Saturdays on 19 and 26 September. Through a cappella singing, the challenging course for beginners will provide an introduction to vocal techniques. Using contemporary songs, the course will teach you how to sing with confidence. Costs £100.
– Singing in Harmony: Through a cappella group singing, the challenging course will provide an exploration of musical styles from African to contemporary pop, soul and R’n’B. This course is suitable for those people with some experience of singing or for those who have completed the Sense of Sound Introduction to Singing course. The 12-week course runs from Wednesday 30 September and costs £155.
Sense of Sound also runs one-to-one vocal coaching from its Liverpool and London offices, either for beginners or professional singers.
