There was some surprise when StreetDance 3D beat Prince of Persia to the top of the cinema box office over their shared opening weekend. And now the UK hit, featuring Britain’s Got Talent winners Diversity and George Sampson, looks set to come break-dancing to the stage. Having taken more than £9.5million at the box office already, the Daily Mail reports that there are rumours of a stage version, StreetDance Live, which would open at the Royal Festival Hall in December. Producer Phil McIntyre and officials at the South Bank Centre are thought to be nearing the end of discussions to secure which stars from the film will appear.
