Sting is in New York City this week as he and the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra arrive at The Met to present their symphonic reinterpretations of songs from his career, including Police classics such as “Roxanne”, “Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic” and “Every Breath You Take” as well as some of his solo releases, such as “If I Ever Lose My Faith in You”.

Has his experience with a 45-piece orchestra got Sting thinking about other live outlets for his back catalogue? A musical perhaps? According to the Sunday Times, he’s in the process of penning that very thing, a musical autobiography for Broadway. The newspaper suggests it may prove a handy replacement at New York’s Hilton Theater for the delayed premiere of screen-to-stage musical Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, featuring music by fellow rockers Bono and The Edge from U2.
