Russell Maliphant Joins BDE 2010

Choreographer Russell Maliphant has confirmed he is to take part in this year’s British Dance Edition. His participation is a major boost to the event which profiles new and existing work by UK-based artists, dance companies and choreographers

David Massingham, Artistic Director of BDE 2010, says of the four-day programme: “We’re looking forward to welcoming dance promoters from across the world to Birmingham for British Dance Edition 2010. We have an amazing line up of performances and events in an edition that has many artists and companies never featured before. It’s all about networking, debating and enjoying a new style BDE that will challenge perceptions of what British dance is all about!”

Other performance’s at the biennial event include Arthur Pita’s new production God’s Garden (3 Feb), Jasmin Vardimon Company’s critically acclaimed Yesterday (4 Feb), and Vincent Dance Theatre’s If We Go On (5 Feb).
