The West End cast of The Hound of the Baskervilles joined members of the Sherlock Holmes Society to celebrate the birthday of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, the brainchild behind the world’s most loved detective.

30 Holmesophiles fully clad in Victorian garb cut cake with cast members John Nicholson, Jason Thorpe and Javier Marzan after last night’s performance at the Duchess Theatre.

Between them the three actors play more than 20 roles in physical theatre troup Peepolykus’ comic take on the 1905 play and most famous Holmes adventure about an ancient family curse, a spectral hound and a deranged killer on the loose.

This new production of The Hound of the Baskervilles opened on the West End on 17 April following a sell-out season at West Yorkshire Playhouse and a national tour. It is adapted by Steven Canny and directed by Orla O’Loughlin and plays until 21 July.
