Producers of cult cabaret La Soiree – previously known as La Clique – have revealed the line-up for the show’s forthcoming Christmas run at the Roundhouse in Camden.

Promising “a night of thrills, shocks, tears of laughter and disbelief”, La Soiree runs from 23 November 2011 to 29 January 2012, featuring a “heady cocktail of cabaret, new burlesque, circus sideshow and contemporary variety”.

The acts scheduled to appear include: German acrobatic duo Chris-Iris; opera-singing diva Le Gateau Chocolat; aerial artists Hugo Desmarais and Katharine Arnold; Freddie Mercury-esque showman Mario, Queen of the Circus; tap-dancing, roller-skating juggler Nate Cooper; the Skating Willers (in their final season); and the hula-hooping Yulia Pykhtina.

Having previously appeared in London as La Clique, the troupe
won the 2009
Olivier Award for Best Entertainment following their run at the London
Hippodrome. The show subsequently played Camden’s Roundhouse for a
nine-week Christmas season and a run in the temporary South Bank Big Top.

La Clique made its London debut at the
London Hippodrome on 10 October 2008 (previews from 2 October),
initially due to run for just four months and eventually extending until
27 June 2009, when it closed ahead of the venue’s redevelopment as a
casino complex.

La Soiree is presented in London by Brett Haylock, Mark Rubinstein and Mick Perrin for Just for Laughs Live.
