A Walk on Part, the play adapted from the diaries
of former Labour MP Chris Mullin, will transfer to the Arts Theatre from 19 June to 14 July 2012.

The production, which premiered last year at Newcastle’s Live Theatre before transferring to the Soho Theatre (where it returned in
March), is written by Michael Chaplin and directed by Max Roberts.

Roberts said of the transfer: “I am thrilled A Walk on Part is continuing into the West End and the work of two extremely witty and skilful writers, (Michael Chaplin and Chris Mullin) will be enjoyed by a wider audience, along with the extraordinary performances from this exceptionally talented cast.”

A Walk on Part reveals an insider’s view of the last decade in politics as the witty diaries of former MP for Sunderland South, Chris Mullin, come alive in an “exhilarating ride of political humour”.

John Hodgkinson plays Mullin, alongside fellow returning cast members Tracy Gillman and Hywel Morgan plus Joe Caffrey, who joins the production for the Arts run. They play over 100 characters between them including Tony Benn, Tony Blair, Gordon Brown, George Osbourne and John Prescott.
