TV and stage star Lesley Joseph and award-winning director and actor Ian Talbot are lending their voices to Santa Clause and the Christmas Adventure, which runs in the daytime slot at the West End’s Ambassadors Theatre from 29 November.

The show follows Santa and his search for Rudolph after the fog becomes too thick for his sleigh and reindeer to fly through on Christmas Eve.

Joseph will provide the voice of ‘Santa-Nav’, the sleigh’s onboard computer, and Talbot will voice Santa’s friend Muffin the bear.

Veteran magician Paul Daniels will create the festive magic for the 40-minute production that includes songs, stories and poems. And after the show, children will have the opportunity to meet Santa and receive a present.

Written by Paul Elliott, with direction by Carole Todd and music by Griff Johnson, Santa Clause and the Christmas Adventure will also play at Fairfield Hall in Croydon from 2 December to 30 December and the Epsom Playhouse from 7 December to 31 December.

Lesley Joseph is best known for her role as Dorian Green in the BBC comedy Birds of a Feather. Theatre credits include touring productions of The Virginia Monologues and Calendar Girls. Ian Talbot was artistic director of the Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre until 2008. As an actor and director he has worked on numerous projects for the RSC, the West End and on television.

Santa Clause and the Christmas Adventure continues at the Ambassadors until 31 December 2011.
