Five reasons to see… I Have Never Cared For Sunsets

1) Beloved historical characters. I believe ours is the only puppet show to feature a young Isaac Newton, an evil version of the Austrian philosopher of science Karl Popper, and Zeno of “Zeno’s paradoxes” fame.

2) Leeches. Not enough theatre addresses the very real, and timely, problem of leech addiction. For some, no amount of bloodletting is ever enough. In I Have Never Cared for Sunsets, the troubled aristocrat, Mr Rudolph, faces this issue head on.

3) It’s in a pub. This may not be unique to a fringe show, but it really is a very nice pub. You can stroll down, have a look around, maybe sneak a peek at the puppets, and THEN make a decision about whether you want to actually pay to watch the show. And if you decide not to then you haven’t wasted a trip, because you’re in a pub! And it really is a very nice pub.

4) It is relatively short. In the time it takes to watch our charming puppet play, you’d be hard pressed to get a decent haircut (with conditioning treatment, blow dry and style), write a well researched essay (including properly formatted footnotes), host a dinner party (or indeed attend one without offending the hosts), drive to the countryside (unless you live within 45 minutes of the countryside) or even watch a full episode of Newsnight.

5) Jokes. There are at least 7 jokes which is surely a national record, or at the very least a personal best.
