Described as a “beatbox action comedy,” this Korean
martial arts and cooking show is nothing like as tasty as it sounds on rice
paper.

A master chef is chased through the mountains by a couple
of assassins who want his secret recipe for “bipimpap.” But as this seems to
consist only of carrots, mushroom, spinach, zucchini and red pepper paste, they
would be better off mixing a few veggies of their own for a brand new
dish.

There’s some clumsy “in and out” behind an ugly scenic
cloth; the routine somersault routines are naffly accompanied by a wock and
spring roll soundtrack and a couple of microphoned deejays.

There’s a Keystone chopstick desperation in a show
from the same stable as Jump, but that’s not sufficient
recommendation this time.

Fans of Ready Steady Cook might have
fun, but I think I’ll order up something hot and spicy after choking on these
mediocre noodles.
