The classic musical, which featured Cliff Richard in the original film, opens at Liverpool Empire in May
A new production of Summer Holiday is to tour the UK next year.
The musical, which is based on the 1960s film starring Cliff Richard and The Shadows, is adapted by Michael Gyngell and Mark Haddigan. Racky Plews is to direct and choreograph the piece, which opens its tour in Liverpool in May next year.
Summer Holiday follows Don and his co-London Transport mechanics, as they head out on a red double decker bus through Paris, the Alps, Italy and Greece.
The show features songs including "In the Country", "Summer Holiday", "Travellin' Light", "Bachelor Boy" and "Living Doll".
Casting is yet to be announced.
Summer Holiday runs at Liverpool Empire from 8 to 12 May and then tours to cities including Milton Keynes, Woking, Bromley, York, Birmingham, Dartford, Leeds and Glasgow.
