Sharon Small reprises her acclaimed performance following the show’s premiere in April this year
Casting has been announced for the UK tour of Still Alice, which opens at Sheffield Lyceum in September.
Joining the previously announced Sharon Small will be Eva Pope, Martin Marquez, Mark Armstrong, Ruth Ollman, Micah Balfour and Anna Andresen.
Christine Mary Dunford's newly adapted version of Lisa Genova's best-selling novel, Still Alice – which explores the nature of Alzheimer's – opened at West Yorkshire Playhouse earlier this year.
In his four-star review for WhatsOnStage, James Willstrop said the piece was "undoubtedly informative and insightful about this disease, yet it is even more intriguingly an exploration of how the closest people to Alice respond to the whole shocking unravelling."
The play is directed by David Grindley and has design by Jonathan Fensom, lighting by Jason Taylor and sound by Gregory Clarke.
After opening in Sheffield, the production will tour to Richmond Theatre (18 to 22 September), King's Theatre, Edinburgh (25 to 29 September), Norwich Theatre Royal (2 to 6 October), Yvonne Arnaud, Guildford (9 to 13 October), Cambridge Arts Theatre (16 to 20 October), Theatre Royal Plymouth (30 October to 3 November), Liverpool Playhouse (6 to 10 November), Glasgow Theatre Royal (13 to 17 November) and Festival Theatre, Malvern (20 to 24 November).
