It’s not all David Tennant at the Royal Shakespeare Company. Far from it. Details have been circulating to members about the upcoming winter season. Highlights include a Neil Bartlett-directed Romeo and Juliet, a Kneehigh take on Don John, a South African co-production of The Tempest with Antony Sher as Prospero and John Kani as Caliban, and a new tour of Othello starring Patrice Naiambana and directed by Kathryn Hunter.
The new season will be officially announced at a press conference hosted by artistic director Michael Boyd on 22 September, in advance of the company’s AGM and release of its annual report.
