Photos: Critics’ Circle Winners Accept Awards

The annual Critics’ Circle Theatre Awards were held today (25 January 2011) at the Prince of Wales Theatre with a host of West End stars accepting awards from member’s of the Critics’ Circle drama section.

Amongst the winners there to collect their awards were Best Actor and Best Actress recipients David Suchet and Jenny Jules, the Royal Court’s Bruce Norris and Anya Reiss who walked away with Best Play and Most Promising Playwright Awards for Clybourne Park and Spur of the Moment respectively.

Director Matthew Warcus who collected the gong for Best New Musical for the RSC’s Matilda was in attendance, as was outgoing artistic director of the Donmar Warehouse Michael Grandage who shared the Best Director prize with Thea Sharrock.
