Mysteries Company in Battle for Cape Town Base???

We’re unlikely to see more London transfers of South African hits such as The Magic Flute and The Mysteries, which won an Olivier and Whatsonstage.com Award at the Young Vic and transferred to the West End. The reason is that Isango Portobello, the company behind these acclaimed productions, has been evicted from its base in Cape Town, the Fugard Theatre, amid claims by theatre owner Eric Abraham of “financial irregularities” and “unsustainable” audience numbers. But angry company members, who include co-founders Mark Dornford-May and Pauline Malefane, compared the move to the apartheid, releasing a statement saying they are “shocked at the way history has repeated itself once again”.
