The full cast has been announced for the forthcoming dramatic readings of Tom Slemen’s best-selling Haunted Liverpool books.

Actresses Jane Hogarth and Jamie Hampson have been confirmed amongst the cast performing in Tales From Haunted Liverpool, an evening of dramatic storytelling being delivered through readings and theatrical performance at the St George’s Hall Concert Room.

Adapted and directed by Jen Heyes, Tales From Haunted Liverpool was a sell-out during its pilot run last November. Stories from volumes 3-4 of Slemen’s Haunted Liverpool books will come to life in an atmospheric re-telling of the chilling tales, in the second of a series of readings and live performances.

Bill Elms, co-producer of Tales From Haunted Liverpool, said: “Due to the success and fantastic feedback from the November show, we have decided to continue to work through the series of Tom Slemen’s books. Lovers of these books can sit back and hear these spine-chilling stories in a live interactive way and in a very unique setting.”

Jane Hogarth has recently been appearing in a new production of Ray Cooney’s Funny Money at Royal Court Liverpool and has been in Channel 4’s and E4’s Hollyoaks, as well as starred in films including Danny Boyle’s Millions.

Jamie Hampson, formerly known as Jamie Clarke, will be familiar to many in Liverpool as the Young Helen in Rob and Alan Fennah’s productions of Helen Forrester’s Twopence to Cross the Mersey, as well as having appeared on television shows The Royal and Doctors.

The pair will join Brian Dodd (Blood Wedding) and Roy Carruthers (Night Collar), from the original line-up.

Slemen has written 14 books of Haunted Liverpool, which have told tales of Liverpool’s past and present and have regularly been number 1 in the Liverpool bestselling book charts and he has also released a new book of Haunted Wirral tales.

Tales From Haunted Liverpool appears at St George’s Hall Concert Room on Friday 26 and Saturday 27 March. Call the Liverpool Echo Arena box office, on the ACC live hotline on 0844 8000 400 to book tickets in advance (open Mon–Sat 9am-9pm and Sun 10am–4pm). *Tickets subject to booking fee
