Cassidy Janson, Oliver Tompsett, Melanie La Barrie and more cast in & Juliet in the West End

The cast joining Miriam-Teak Lee in the new piece has been announced

Further casting has been announced for the upcoming run of & Juliet, a new musical with songs from Max Martin.

Cassidy Janson, Oliver Tompsett, Arun Blair-Mangat, Melanie La Barrie, Jordan Luke Gage and Tim Mahendran are to join Miriam-Teak Lee in the piece, which picks up with the final scene of Romeo and Juliet, but tells what happened if Juliet actually lived.

The ensemble includes Jocasta Almgill, Josh Baker, Alishia-Marie Blake, Ivan De Freitas, Rhian Duncan, Danielle Fiamanya, Kieran Lai, Nathan Lorainey-Dineen, Jaye Marshall, Grace Mouat, Antoine Murray-Straughan, Kerri Norville, Christopher Parkinson, Dillon Scott-Lewis, Kirstie Skivington and Alex Tranter.

Martin's previous work includes writing songs by pop artists including Backstreet Boys, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Katy Perry and Ariana Grande. The musical's orchestrations are arranged by Bill Sherman.

The show will be directed by Luke Sheppard, with a book by David West Read, choreography from Jennifer Weber, set design from Soutra Gilmour, costume design by Paloma Young, sound from Gareth Owen and lighting from Howard Hudson,

The show opens at the Manchester Opera House from 10 September to 12 October 2019 before heading to the Shaftesbury Theatre on 2 November, with an opening night on 20 November.
