Aidan Turner, Adrienne Warren and Bryan Cranston among The Stage Debut Awards nominees

The awards recognise stellar debut performances across the UK

Nominees for The Stage Debut Award, which reflecting stellar debut performances across the UK and in the West End, have been announced.

Stars including Aidan Turner, Bryan Cranston annd Kelli O'Hara all feature in the Best West End Debut Award, which is voted for by the public and celebrates a first performance in the West End. Voting can be conducted online on The Stage website.

Editor Alistair Smith said: "After the huge success of The Stage Debut Awards' first outing in 2017, we're delighted to reveal another superb shortlist of emerging stars that ranges from first-time playwrights in pub theatres to regional directors and those making their debuts on the biggest West End stages. This list underlines the quite astonishing array of diverse talent breaking through in theatres of all scales and types across the UK."

The award winners will be announced on 23 September and streamed live on The Stage's Facebook Page.
