Further casting for the RSC's production of Shakespeare's Timon of Athens has been announced.

Joining the previously announced Kathryn Hunter (Cyrano de Bergerac, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix) in the production are Salman Akhtar, Sagar I M Arya, James Clyde, Anton Cross, Ralph Davis, Ross Green, Zainab Hasan, Debbie Korley, Rosy McEwen, Sam Pay, Riad L Richie, Vivienne Smith, David Sturzaker and Edmund Wiseman.

Further casting for Simon Godwin's production is to be announced in September. Godwin is currently directing Antony and Cleopatra at the National Theatre, and his previous credits include Twelfth Night and Man and Superman (both also at the National).

The creative team in the production will be composed of designer Soutra Gilmour, lighting designer Tim Lutkin, with music composed by Michael Bruce, sound design by Christopher Shutt and movement by Jonathan Goddard.

Timon of Athens is a sharp satire of wealth and greed, examining how easily one's world can move from privilege to poverty.
