Indhu Rubasingham on her bumper 2027 season at the National Theatre

Yesterday, WhatsOnStage attended the media launch for the National Theatre’s 2027 season… and what a packed, star-studded season it is!

Following the event, we talked to the director of the National Theatre, Indhu Rubasingham, during an exclusive one-to-one interview to get her thoughts on the exciting productions heading our way next year.

With eight world premieres, eagerly anticipated revivals, a reimagined West Side Story, a new British musical featuring the songs of Joan Armatrading and a plethora of stars from Emilia Clarke and Uzo Aduba to Emma Corrin and Anton Du Beke, there was plenty to chat about.
