A popular Christmas hit at Manchester’s Library Theatre – Tom’s Midnight Garden is back, but this time it’s theatregoers in Keswick who get to spend time in the midnight garden.

It’s 1958.Tom is bored. He’s been sent to stay with his aunt and uncle with no one to play with. Then one night, the grandfather clock in the hall strikes thirteen… opening the back door, Tom discovers a beautiful Victorian garden where he meets Hatty, a lonely orphan. But Hatty lives in the 1880s! Is she a ghost? Or is Tom really the ghost?

David Wood‘s adaptation of Philippa Pearce’s classic children’s book – Tom’s Midnight Garden has been in the North West twice before (both visits in Manchester) and it runs at the Theatre By The Lake from 27 November – 15 January.
