Rosalie Craig and Michelle Terry are to appear in a series of workshop performances they have written about giving birth.

Becoming: Part One will see the performers share their personal experiences of giving birth six months ago. It will take place at the Donmar Warehouse's rehearsal space, and mark the first time a public performance has taken place in the space on Dryden Street.

Since becoming mothers late last year, the two performers have worked with the Donmar to explore how the theatre might allow them to be both artists and new mothers. As a result, they were co-commissioned to research and write about the first year of their child's life.

The relaxed shows are aimed at adults, with babes in arms also welcome, and the audience are invited to stay after the performance to continue the conversation.

A podcast of Becoming will also be released later in the year.

Becoming: Part One will run at the Donmar Warehouse Rehearsal Space from 27 June to 1 July.
