There are lots of stories about cancellations and theatres being locked down, and we wholeheartedly hope that they re-open before next year, in a safe and manageable manner.

New dates confirmed
Six the Musical – Thank you #RuleOfSix! The smash-hit musical has confirmed it will play a limited run in the West End, moving to the Lyric Theatre for a limited run before returning to the Arts Theatre in 2021. There will also be a limited run in Salford later this year and Southampton – find out more here.
This is Going to Hurt – One of Nimax's six West End venues set to reopen from 22 October, Adam Kay's show will play at the Apollo Theatre until 18 November.
Everybody's Talking About Jamie – One of Nimax's six West End venues set to reopen, the musical will play at the Apollo Theatre from 28 November. Tour dates are still to be confirmed for early 2021.
Magic Goes Wrong – One of Nimax's six West End venues set to reopen, the Mischief Theatre show will play at the Vaudeville Theatre from December.
The Play That Goes Wrong – One of Nimax's six West End venues set to reopen, the Mischief Theatre show will play at the Duchess Theatre.
The Last Five Years – The Southwark Playhouse hit has extended its run, now playing from 1 October to 14 November.
Good – The show has moved venues. Originally booked for the Playhouse Theatre, it will now play in the Harold Pinter Theatre from 21 April. The play will star WhatsOnStage Award-winning actor David Tennant.
Beauty and the Beast – The Olivier-Award winning musical will embark on a major new UK and Ireland tour from May 2021, starting at the Curve Leicester.
Back to the Future – The West End transfer of the new musical has been confirmed. The show will come to London's Adelphi Theatre from 14 May 2021. Great Scott!
Dante's In Furlough – A new immersive production at The Vaults will open on 15 October and run underneath Waterloo station until 20 December.
The Ocean at the End of the Lane – Neil Gaiman's show will now open in the West End from 23 October 2021.
The Great Gatsby – The immersive West End production has reopened
The Drifter's Girl – The show has moved its run a full year to autumn 2021 – giving the piece the chance to be developed and presented! It will start previews from 4 November with Beverley Knight starring.
London Pantomimes – Four major London pantos have rescheduled their London dates to next year – find out more here.
A Christmas Carol – Mark Gatiss' new adaptation will now run at Nottingham Playhouse from 30 October to 14 November 2021 and at the Alexandra Palace Theatre from 26 November 2021 to 9 January 2022.

Waitress – The show has revealed new dates for its major tour – the first for the hit musical. Find out more here.
Grease – The 2020 tour of the iconic musical has been moved to 2021 – you can find out where it'll be heading here.
Frozen – The epic Disney musical has announced almost all of its cast and new dates – it will begin performances on 2 April.
Red Ellen – The co-production between Nottingham Playhouse, Northern Stage and the Edinburgh Lyceum will now run in early 2022.
Cinderella – Andrew Lloyd Webber's brand new musical, starring Carrie Hope Fletcher, has confirmed new dates from March 2021.
My Best Friend's Wedding – The world premiere of the musical starring Alexandra Burke has pushed back its release to September 2021 – with new dates here.
Hairspray – The hit musical starring Michael Ball, Marisha Wallace and more is now scheduled to open on 22 April 2021.
The Wizard of Oz – Curve Leicester's production has been moved in its entirety to Christmas 2021.
The Prince of Egypt – The show will aim to reopen in November 2020, and now plans to run until September 2021.
Singin in the Rain' – The Sadler's Wells run of the hit musical has been moved to 2021, with tour dates remaining as they were.
The Wonderful Wizard of Oz – Tron Theatre's pantomime has announced new dates.
Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat – The West End production has moved by exactly a year – find out more here.
Derren Brown's Showman – The master of mind control has rescheduled his entire tour to 2021, which will run from February to July.
RENT – The Hope Mill Theatre's production has been moved from its original dates to 30 October to 6 December 2020.
Chichester Festival Theatre – The company has cancelled its 2020 season but South Pacific has found 2021 dates.
Monsoon Wedding – The brand new musical which is bsaed on the film of the same name will now run from 16 July until 29 August 2021 at the Roundhouse, with Leeds Playhouse dates to be confirmed.
Strictly Ballroom – The upcoming tour of the Baz Luhrmann musical, starring Kevin Clifton, has been pushed back a year. All the original venues will still be visited – find out more here.
Sister Act – The star-studded revival, both on tour and in London, has moved its dates to 2021. So we'll still be getting Whoopi Goldberg and Jennifer Saunders at the Eventim Apollo next summer from 20 July until 29 August.
Regent's Park Open Air Theatre – The venue's entire summer season will now run in 2021, including the Carousel revival and new 101 Dalmations musical.
Kilworth House Theatre – The 2020 revival of Carousel will now take place in May 2021.
Mamma Mia! – The soul-warming show has found new dates for Hull, Nottingham, Glasgow, Liverpool, Birmingham, Bristol, Canterbury, Plymouth, Bournemouth, Eastbourne, Sunderland and Aberdeen in 2022, with more updates coming.
Liza Pullman – The hit performer will wow audiences at the Riverside Studios from 19 to 25 April next year, after rescheduling London dates.
The Book of Mormon – the touring production of the award-winning musical has rescheduled its dates for Aberdeen, Leeds, Edinburgh, Liverpool and Southampton to later in 2021.
We Will Rock You – The touring production has paused its run until 2021 – but new dates have been announced.
The Lion King – The 20th-anniversary tour of the show has new dates extending into 2022 at Bradford Alhambra and Wales' Millenium Centre.
Whitney – Queen of the Night – the show Whitney has rescheduled its West End date to 7 February 2021 at the Adelphi Theatre.
One Man, Two Guvnors – The Bolton Octagon's revival of Richard Bean's hit comedy will be pushed back to summer 2021, now playing from 17 June to 17 July.
Friends! The Musical Parody – The musical about the hit sitcom has rescheduled some tour dates to 2021.
By The Waters of Liverpool – The tour of Helen Forrester's play has been moved – it will now run from 2 March to 9 May 2021.
Oldham Coliseum – The venue has moved its production of The Jungle Book to easter 2021. It runs from 31 March to 17 April.

Heathers – The touring production is moving dates on a rolling basis while the pandemic continues.
Goldilocks and the Three Bears – Birmingham Hippodrome has postponed its panto – 2021 dates are to be revealed.
Les Misérables – The newest tour of the show is in the process of rescheduled cancelled dates, with ticket holders being prioritised.
Moulin Rouge! – The show has moved its premiere to autumn 2021.
Life of Pi – Performances will be rescheduled for a future date.
To Kill a Mockingbird – The West End production will now begin performances in May 2021.
The Pillowman – The show will go ahead in 2021 with its two cast members confirmed as returning. Full details to be announced.
Gatsby – Maria Aberg's new production will tour from autumn 2021.
Hello, Dolly! – The new West End production will occur, but dates are to be announced.
Hamlet – The Young Vic production starring Cush Jumbo has been postponed and new dates are being sought.
Bring it On – The tour of the cheerleading musical was meant to start in June 2020, it will now commence in the autumn of 2021.
Footloose – The tour of the hit musical was meant to open in April 2020, it will now begin in January 2021.
9 to 5 the Musical – The second tour of the hit musical was meant to open in May 2020, it will now begin in the spring of 2021.
Chichester Festival Theatre – The company has cancelled its 2020 season but The Unfriend is expected to go ahead in 2021.
What's New Pussycat? – The musical, based on the Henry Fielding novel with the tunes of Tom Jones, has moved its run at Leeds Playhouse to 2021.
Piaf – The hit show, co-produced by Nottingham Playhouse and Leeds Playhouse and led by Jenna Russell – has been moved to next year.
Sunday in the Park with George – Jake Gyllenhaal and Annaleigh Ashford have confirmed they'll be in the West End in 2021 rather than June – dates are to be confirmed.
Polka Theatre – The theatre is now set to re-open to the public in spring 2021, with winter productions rescheduled.
New Vic Theatre – the venue, based in Newcastle-under-Lyme, has rescheduled its productions of Marvellous and The Company of Wolves until 2021.
Identical – The new musical by Stiles and Drew, based on The Parent Trap, will now run in 2021. Dates are tbc.
Pitlochry Festival Theatre – The venue has rescheduled its entire 2020 season to 2021.
The Doctor – The Robert Icke five-star show, starring Juliet Stevenson, will now open in spring 2021.
Bridge Theatre – Judi Dench's I Remember It Well, the stage version of The Book of Dust and the world premiere of The Southbury Child are intended to be rescheduled.
4000 Miles – The Old Vic has said that it will "be in touch as soon as we can with more details about the new performance dates" once it knows when venues will re-open.
Doctor Semmelweiss – The Bristol Old Vic show starring Mark Rylance will return when the conditions are favourable, Rylance and the venue's artistic director Tom Morris have said.
