As part of this month's Regional Theatre Focus, we take a look at the West Yorkshire Playhouse through the years, from its days as the Leeds Playhouse to last year's production of The Glass Menagerie.

The photos show Albert Finney celebrating the completion of the new theatre building, Robert Powell as Hamlet in the '70s, and Paul Robinson in the 1999 production of Singing in the Rain.

The theatre opened as the West Yorkshire Playhouse in 1990 after a 36-year campaign for a new space in the area.
