Photos: Bassett rehearses new Churchill play Love & Information

Directed by James Macdonald (Mike Bartlett’s Cock), it’s billed as a “fast moving kaleidoscope” and involves “more than a hundred characters try to make sense of what they know”. Linda Bassett stars in an ensemble cast of 16, also including Nikki Amuka-Bird, Scarlett Brookes, Amanda Drew, Laura Elphinstone, Susan Engel, John Heffernan, Joshua James, Paul Jesson, Billy Matthews, Justin Salinger, Amit Shah, Rhashan Stone, Josh Williams, Nell Williams and Sarah Woodward.

The play runs until 13 October.

It was also announced today that another new Churchill play, Ding Dong The Wicked will be performed before or after (depending on the date) Love and Information under the direction of Dominic Cooke, starring Claire Foy (BBC’s Little Dorrit), Sophie Stanton (EastEnders), Daniel Kendrick (Vera Vera Vera) and Stuart McQuarrie (Clybourne Park, Wanderlust).
