The winners were announced yesterday (28 October 2012) of this year’s Theatre Awards UK
(formerly the TMAs).
The winners included Imelda Staunton (whose award was collected on her behalf by her Sweeney Todd co-star – and fellow nominee – Michael Ball); new musical The Go-Between; and husband-and-wife actors Timothy West and Prunella Scales, who were presented with the lifetime achievement award by their son Samuel West.
