The ”Black Panther” star appears in Danai Gurira’s play at the Young Vic
Photographs of the upcoming production of Danai Gurira's play The Convert at the Young Vic have been released.
The show stars Letitia Wright, who appeared in the recent hit film Black Panter. She performs alongside Paapa Essiedu, Ivanno Jeremiah, Jude Akuwudike, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo, Rudolphe Mdlongwa and Pamela Nomvete.
The Convert is set in 1896 in what is modern day Zimbabwe and Jekesai, a young woman fleeing forced marriage, finds herself working for a devout Catholic priest.
Naomi Dawson designs the show with lighting from Bruno Poet, sound from Max Perryment, projections from Will Duke and movement from Coral Messam.
