Oldham Coliseum’s Spring/Summer season includes Kay Mellor’s poignant A Passionate Woman starring Mellor, writer of such TV hits as Fat Friends, Playing the Field and Band of Gold, in the title role.

Other Coliseum production include the upbeat comedy drama Stepping Out followed by the all singing Satin ‘n’ Steel; and to close the season a world premiere from Phillip Goulding who adapted the hugely successful The Road to Nab End. A Fine Bright Day Today is a moving and evocative tale of autumnal love,
set on the edge of an English coastal town, where lives are reshaped by
a chance meeting with an exotic stranger.

Totally Over You – is a production created by and starring members of Coliseum Education and Outreach groups DigiLAB and TheatreLAB – and will be at the Coliseum for just two nights only.

The Coliseum will also be hosting some tours including Icarus Theatre Collective and Harrogate Theatre’s production of Hamlet, Shakespeare’s definitive tragedy of justice and revenge. Following on from the hugely successful Desperate to be Doris, cult comedy duo LipService return to the Coliseum with their sideways take on Bronte, Withering Looks.

There are also a variety of one-night events including Ken Dodd‘s Happiness Show.
