Hollywood star and rock chick Juliette Lewis made her professional stage acting debut last night (15 June 2006, previews from 7 June) in Lindsay Posner’s new production of Sam Shepard’s 1980 play Fool for Love at the West End’s Apollo Theatre (See News, 18 Apr 2006). Co-starring with Lewis is New Zealand-born screen actor Martin Henderson and Britons Larry Lamb and Joe Duttine.

Set in a seedy motel room in southern California, Fool for Love centres on former lovers May (Lewis) and Eddie (Henderson) who go back beyond their adult lives, back to the legacy of their parents and their parents before. It’s presented in the West End by Out of Blue Productions.
