Gwendoline Christie's Midsummer Night's Dream, Andrew Scott's Present Laughter and Hansard to be released in cinemas through NT Live

Three new productions will be released in cinemas as part of NT Live's 2019 plans.
The Bridge Theatre's staging of A Midsummer Night's Dream, which opens in June and stars Gwendoline Christie, David Moorst and Hammed Animashaun, will be captured live during its run and screened in cinemas on 17 October. Directed by Nicholas Hytner with design by Bunny Christie, the screening marks NT Live's return to the Bridge following previous screenings of Julius Caesar, Young Marx and Allelujah!.
On 7 November, the National Theatre's production of Hansard will be broadcast live in cinemas. Directed by Simon Godwin, the piece follows Robin and Diana, a married couple who come a cropper. The show stars Lindsay Duncan (Black Mirror) and Alex Jennings (The Crown).
The third new screening will be the Old Vic's production of Noël Coward's Present Laughter, starring Andrew Scott. Captured at the south London venue, the production is directed by Matthew Warchus and will be released in cinemas on 28 November, months after its theatrical run closes.
Other upcoming broadcasts include Small Island (27 June), The Lehman Trilogy (25 July) and an encore screening of One Man, Two Guvnors (26 September).
