Full casting has been announced for the brand new musical Club Mex, which opens at the Hope Mill Theatre in Manchester in January.

The show gained prominence for announcing plans to audition performers via Instagram, with Jade Johnson (World's End) winning her role as Mel after sending in a video through the platform.

Also appearing will be Alison Arnopp (Eugenius!), Emma Louise Hoey (The Wizard of Oz), Alvaro Flores (Day of the Living), Jeremy Sartori (making his professional stage debut), Bradley Connor (Unforgotten) with the ensemble played by Jonathan Cordin (Bat Out of Hell) and Jessica Shaw (who has yet to graduate from Manchester's Arden School of Theatre).

Set in Cancun, the show is a part-immersive, part-clubbing experience where audiences are placed on the dancefloor in the heart of the action.

Club Mex has compositions by John-Victor, writing by Tamar Broadbent, direction by Julie Atherton, choreography by Genesis Lynea, set and costume design by Emma Bailey, sound design by Max Hunter, lighting design by Francis Clegg, musical direction by Sarah Morrison and casting by Pearson Casting.

The musical runs at the Manchester venue from 17 January to 10 February.
