Jonathan O’Boyle’s production opens at the Hope Mill Theatre, Manchester this month
We popped into rehearsals for Andrew Lloyd Webber's Aspects of Love, which opens at the Hope Mill Theatre in Manchester this month.
Featuring the classic number "Love Changes Everything", the musical is based on the novel by David Garnett, and has lyrics by Don Black and Charles Hart. It tells the story of passion and love across three generations of a family in 1940s France and Italy.
Directed by Jonathan O'Boyle, the production features Jerome Pradon as George and Kelly Price as Rose. Also in the cast are Kimberly Blake as Giulietta, Jason Kajdi as Hugo, Felix Mosse as Alex, Julia J Nagle as Elizabeth and Minal Patel as Marcel. Completing the cast is Rosie Cava-Beale, Jack Churms and Eleanor Walsh.
The musical debuted in the West End in 1989, running until 1992, and has since embarked on a UK tour and was recently produced at the Menier Chocolate Factory. It was nominated for six Tony Awards when it premiered on Broadway in 1990.
The Hope Mill production has musical direction by Gareth Bretherton, design by Jason Denvir, choreography by Sam Spencer-Lane, lighting by Aaron J Dootson and sound by Calum Robinson.
