The Print Room hosts famous names reading their favourite festive stories
The Print Room has announced its line up for Winter's Tales, a week-long event where celebrities read their favourite festive stories.
Over the first week of December stars including Mel Giedroyc, Emeli Sande, Penelope Wilton, Ben Okri, Toby Stephens, Jamie Glover, Tom Hollander and Shappi Khorsandi will read tales to audiences of 6 to 12 year-olds.
Giedroyc will read The Adventure of the Christmas Pudding by Agatha Christie, while Penelope Wilton will read stories from Winnie the Pooh. Poet and novelist Okri will read a new story written specifically for the week. Stephens will read Roald Dahl's The Twits with more details to be announced.
The week is being staged in support of Give a Book charity which gives books to people who may not have access to them in schools and prisons. This year the event will also raise funds for the Grenfell Tower community.
Winter's Tales runs at the Print Room from 6 to 10 December.
