Kwame Kwei-Armah, Jamael Westman, Roy Williams, Natasha Gordon and more will all contribute to the series
The Royal Court in London will create seven films about the Windrush generation, it has been announced.
To mark seventy years since the arrival of the ship Empire Windrush, and in response to the recent Windrush scandal, Lynette Linton is commissioning and curating a series of seven monologues which will be presented by the Royal Court.
Each film represents a decade and writers including Rikki Beadle Blair, Jamael Westman, Roy Williams, Kwame Kwei-Armah, Natasha Gordon and Linton herself.
The films will be released weekly online later this year and Passages: A Windrush Celebration will culminate in a day of food, music and the screening of all seven films.
Passages: A Windrush Celebration is produced by Linton and Christopher Haydon.
