Casting has been announced for the brand new play with songs Leave to Remain, which opens at Lyric Hammersmith in January.

Directed by Robby Graham with design by Rebecca Brower, the piece is created by Matt Jones with songs by Kele Okereke, frontman of Bloc Party.

Joining the previously announced Tyrone Huntley in the show will be Billy Cullum (Matilda and Little Shop of Horrors), Emma Amos (Sweet Bird of the South), Aretha Ayeh (Miss Littlewood), Rakie Ayola (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child), Sandy Batchelor (Strangers on a Train), Arun Blair-Mangat (Kinky Boots) and Cornell S John (The Lion King). Further casting is to be announced.

The piece follows young gay couple Obi and Alex, whose London lives are jeopardised when Alex's visa comes into question. The piece has lighting by Anna Watson and casting by Will Burton.

Okereke will release a 15-track album with the songs from Leave to Remain on 24 January to coincide with the show's opening night. Written and performed by Okereke, they are mixed by Charles Kelly.

The show runs from 18 January to 16 February.
