Christopher Luscombe directs the revival of Rattigan’s rarely performed comedy
Full casting has been announced for Christopher Luscombe’s production of Terence Rattigan’s While the Sun Shines which opens runs at Theatre Royal, Bath from 13 to 30 July.
Fresh from her run in This is Living at Trafalgar Studios, Tamla Kari will play Mabel Crum, alongside Nicholas Bishop (Three Days in the Country) as Colbert, Michael Cochrane (Wonderland) as Lord Ayr, Alexandra Dowling as Elisabeth, Jonathan Dryden Taylor (Travels with My Aunt) as Horton, Rob Heaps as Harpenden and Rupert Young (High Society) as Mulvaney.
While the Sun Shines was Rattigan's most successful play during his lifetime, running for three years in the West End during the war. It centres around the Earl of Harpenden on the eve of his marriage to Lady Elizabeth. When an American Lieutenant comes to stay, things start to go wrong.
While the Sun Shines runs at Theatre Royal, Bath from 13 to 30 July.
