Chris White directs the world premiere of the new play
The cast has been announced for the world premiere of Henry Darke's Booby's Bay, which opens at the Finborough Theatre next year.
Directed by Chris White (Scenes From 68 Years), Darke's piece explores the housing crisis in Cornwall and one man's mission to make a political stand.
The show's cast will be composed of Florence Roberts (BU21), Esther Coles (Touched, Matchbox Theatre), Oliver Bennett (Backbeat), Joseph Chance (The Woman in Black) and Bradley Taylor (Mothergun).
Darke trained with the Royal Court's Young Writers programme and was selected for 'The Royal Court 50' most promising playwrights in the UK by the Drum Theatre, Plymouth. The play was conceived for the venue's Vibrant festival for aspiring playwrights and was subsequently developed by the Bristol Old Vic through their 'Open Sessions' scheme.
Following the show's run in London, it will be performed at the Wardrobe Theatre in Bristol and then at a site-specific venue in Cornwall. IT has design by Paul Burgess, lighting by Arnim Friess and music composition by Michael Henry.
The Finborough recently unveiled its plans for 2018, which begins with the European premiere of Christopher Chen's Into The Numbers.
Booby's Bay runs at the Finborough Theatre from 1 February to 24 February, with previews from 30 January.
