Distant Memories of the Near Future

About the Show

An isolated tech mogul tries to turn love into an algorithm. A jaded consumer confronts their loneliness. An astronaut is trapped in the cosmos.

Distant Memories of the Near Future is a piece of multimedia storytelling-theatre featuring projection, video, audio and puppetry to tell five interweaving tales about love, technology and artificial intelligence.

Transferring from a hit Edinburgh Fringe run, it’s written and performed by David Head (Winner, Best New Writing, Buxton Fringe ’23, Unwanted Objects) and directed by Laura Killeen (Godot is a Woman, Jeezus).

This one-person show explores the nature of connection in a world where commercialisation and consumerism have run wild.
