Three performers will be sharing the role of Ali in Burlesque the Musical on UK shores this year.

The musical is based on the film starring Christina Aguilera and Cher and centres on Ali, who travels to New York in search of her mother and becomes immersed in an underground club scene. The film is written and directed by Steven Antin.

Natalia Jacques will be performing the role in London this autumn, while Gracie O’Brien will be touring in the role, with Cecilia Petrush as the alternate. Petrush was cast after a global talent search.

Burlesque the Musical will play a 2026 run at the new venue at Marble Arch. It follows two engagements in Manchester and a season in Glasgow, as well as a sold-out limited season at the Savoy Theatre.

Previews begin on Saturday 12 September 2026 and performances are currently booking until Sunday 31 January 2027.

At the same time, a second production will launch a UK tour, opening at the New Victoria Theatre, Woking. We’ve covered that in more detail here.

As already revealed, Cassidy Janson will also star in the show as Tess when it returns to London this autumn.

Burlesque the Musical features songs by Aguilera, Sia, Diane Warren, Jess Folley and Todrick Hall.

Aguilera serves as executive producer alongside Adam Paulden, Jason Haigh-Ellery, Antin, Clint Culpepper and In Fine Company. Further cast and creative team details are yet to be announced.

Performances will take place from Tuesday to Saturday at 7.30pm, with additional matinees on Saturday at 3pm and Sunday at 2pm and 7pm.

Further cast and the creative team are to be revealed.
