As the summer ends, the West End has its annual autumn changing of the guard

The seasons come; the seasons go, as Simon and Garfunkel put it, and the same applies to the West End! Shows opening and shows closing keeps the theatre landscape fresh, vibrant and exciting. So, we fondly bid farewell to the following productions, all of which are wrapping up their time in London. One big closure is Tina – The Tina Turner Musical, closing after a record-breaking seven years at the Aldwych Theatre.
From the creators of The Play That Goes Wrong, this show at the Noël Coward Theatre is a hilarious spy caper set in 1960s London. It features the original Mischief company members and is full of physical comedy and mistaken identities. Until 5 September
This revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s musical, at the London Palladium, stars Golden Globe winner Rachel Zegler making her West End debut as Eva Perón. Directed by Jamie Lloyd, it offers a fresh, stripped-back take on the iconic story of the ambitious First Lady of Argentina. Until 6 September
Based on the hit film, this glitzy new musical has been sizzling away at the Savoy Theatre. It follows Ali’s journey from a small town to a dazzling burlesque club, featuring songs from Christina Aguilera and Sia. The cast includes Todrick Hall and Jess Folley from The Voice. Until 6 September.

Martin Shaw stars as Sir Thomas More in this powerful historical drama at the Harold Pinter Theatre. It recounts More’s courageous stand against King Henry VIII, choosing his conscience over his life. This production highlights the timeless themes of integrity and defiance. Until 6 September

The theatrical production of the C.S. Lewis classic, which formerly ran in the West End, now has a summer season at Sadler’s Wells, taking audiences on a magical journey to the land of Narnia. Until 7 September

These are three separate, family-oriented shows. The Smeds and The Smoos (Tall Stories production) is a Julia Donaldson adaptation. The Tiger Who Came to Tea is a classic children’s story on stage. CoComelon is an interactive sing-a-long show. All until 7 September.
This musical, based on F Scott Fitzgerald’s novel, brings the Jazz Age to life at the London Coliseum. It stars Jamie Muscato as Jay Gatsby and Frances Mayli McCann as Daisy Buchanan, and features a new, Tony-nominated score. Until 7 September.
The electrifying life story of music legend Tina Turner is told at the Aldwych Theatre. The show, presented in association with Tina herself, features her greatest hits. The title role is shared by Karis Anderson and Fleur East. Until 13 September

Adapted by John Cleese himself, this play at the Apollo Theatre brings three classic episodes of the iconic sitcom to the stage. It’s a nostalgic, loving tribute to the beloved characters of Basil, Sybil, and Manuel. Until 13 September

Yes, we might be stretching the West End to the other side of the Thames, but Rosamund Pike makes her National Theatre debut in this new play at the Lyttelton Theatre. From the writer and director of Prima Facie, the show examines modern motherhood and masculinity through the eyes of a compassionate Crown Court Judge. Until 13 September
