Simon Callow, Jane Asher and more cast in Noël Coward's A Song At Twilight at Theatre Royal Bath

Casting for the venue’s new season has been announced

Casting has been announced for Theatre Royal Bath's spring season.

Simon Callow (Four Weddings and Funeral), Jane Asher (Great Expectations), Jessica Turner (The Fantastic Follies of Mrs Rich) and Ash Rizi (East is East) will star in the new production of Noël Coward's A Song at Twilight, which is directed by Stephen Unwin (The Real Thing).

Running in Bath from 13 February to 23 February, the show will then tour to Guildford Yvonne Arnaud, Cambridge Arts Theatre, Windsor Theatre Royal, Rose Theatre Kingston, Malvern Theatre, Eastbourne Devonshire Park and Norwich Theatre Royal until mid-April.

Coward's piece follows the ageing actor Hugo Latymer as he is reunited with an old flame. The playwright himself starred in the show when it was performed in the West End in 1966.

Casting has also been announced for the revival Marie Jones' Olivier Award-winning comedy Stones in His Pockets, which comes to Theatre Royal Bath following its premiere at Rose Theatre Kingston. Owen Sharpe (Piaf) and Kevin Trainor (An Octoroon) star in the show, which is directed by Lindsay Posner.

The piece runs in Kingston from 28 February to 9 March and in Bath from 11 to 16 March, with further tour dates in Liverpool, Southampton, Edinburgh, Dublin, Belfast, Malvern, Mold, Eastbourne, Cambridge, Cardiff, Guildford and Nottingham through to July 2019 with further venues to be announced.
