Sister Act Gets Back in the West End Habit???

As Sister Act kicks off a new UK tour in Manchester, we hear rumours the Whatsonstage.com Award-winning musical could be coming back to the West End as early as next year. The show, adapted from the 1992 film starring Whoopi Goldberg (a producer of the stage version), ran at the London Palladium from June 2009 to October 2010, when it made way for The Wizard of Oz.

As well as the tour, which continues through to next summer, Sister Act is also currently running on Broadway, starring Patina Miller (who led the Palladium cast). If it does return to the West End it will likely be to a smaller venue, and whether Miller will return to the role of Deloris in London is doubtful.
