Guests including Rachel Weisz came to the Almeida Theatre for the opening night of Cordelia Lynn's adaptation of Anton Chekhov's Three Sisters.

Directed by Rebecca Frecknall, who returns to the venue following her Olivier Award-winning revival of Summer and Smoke in 2018, the production stars Ria Zmitrowicz, Pearl Chanda and Patsy Ferran as the titular three siblings who grow up in a countryside garrison town.

The piece received a four-star write-up from WhatsOnStage, being described as "a slow-burning yet engrossing study of a young family's collapsing dreams."
