Casting has been announced for the West End transfer of the Almeida Theatre's production of The Twilight Zone, based on the cult classic TV show and adapted for the stage by Anne Washburn (Mr Burns).

The play is based on eight episodes of the hit early 1960s sci-fi series penned by Rod Serling, Charles Beaumont and Richard Matheson. The TV show will be revived later this year, with executive production by Jordan Peele and Simon Kinberg.

Oliver Alvin-Wilson, Adrianna Bertola and Neil Haigh will return to the stage production after appearing at the Almeida, and will be joined by Alisha Bailey (The Serpent's Tooth), Natasha J Barnes (Wasted), Nicholas Karimi (Macbeth), Dan Crossley (Reared), Dyfan Dwyfor (Richard III), Lauren O'Neill (Reasons To Be Happy) and Matthew Steer (A Midsummer Night's Dream).

The Twilight Zone is directed by Richard Jones and has design by Paul Steinberg, with costume design by Nicky Gillibrand, movement direction by Aletta Collins, lighting design by Mimi Jordan Sherin, and DM Wood, composition and sound by Sarah Angliss, sound by Christopher Shutt, casting by Julia Horan, and illusions by Richard Wiseman and Will Houstoun.

When the show first opened at the Almeida in December 2017, lead critic Sarah Crompton said "the atmosphere and flavour of this cult TV show is precisely captured. Terrific."
