The National Theatre’s multi award-winning production of One Man, Two Guvnors has extended its booking period at the Theatre Royal Haymarket to 31 August 2013.
He joins Owain Arthur as Francis Henshall, Jodie
Prenger as Dolly, Phil Cornwell as Charlie, Rhona Croker as
Pauline, David Benson as Gareth, Nigel Betts as Harry, Derek Elroy as
Lloyd, Daniel Ings as Alan, Ben Mansfield as Stanley Stubbers and Gemma
Whelan as Rachel Crabbe.
Nicholas Hytner‘s production of Richard Bean’s award-wining adaptation, based on Carlo Goldoni’s The Servant of Two Masters, was first seen at the National Theatre in May 2011, starring James Corden as Francis. Corden won a Whatsonstage.com Award for the role, and subsequently scooped a Tony on Broadway.
Among its other honours One Man, Two Guvnors won Best New Comedy prize at this year’s
Whatsonstage.com Awards and has also been recognised with Critics’
Circle and Evening Standard gongs.
A second UK tour, with a new cast led by Rufus Hound, will begin in October this year and
in February 2013 the production will embark on an international
tour.
