Don’t “Blame It on the Boogie”, Michael Jackson fans. Blame it on Flying Music. The production company that’s had huge success with pop compilation musical including The Rat Pack and Dancing in the Streets is now aiming to bring Thriller Live! into Shaftesbury Avenue.

The concert – featuring Michael Jackson chart-toppers such as “I Want You Back”, “Earth Song”, “Blame It on the Boogie” and, of course, the title song, “Thriller” – received a one-off West End try-out at the Dominion Theatre in 2006 and subsequently toured the UK extensively (See News, 28 Mar 2007).

Despite his tabloid troubles in more recent years, after a career spanning more than four decades, Jackson is still considered the “King of Pop” by many. His achievements include seven UK Number One hits, the World Music Award’s Best-Selling Pop Male Artist of the Millennium, and the American Music Award’s Artist of the Century Award.
