The production, directed by Ivo van Hove, will open at the Kings Cross Theatre in November
David Bowie's musical Lazarus, which premiered in New York last year, will transfer to London, opening at King's Cross Theatre in November.
With music and lyrics by Bowie and a book by Enda Walsh (Once, The Twits), the musical is a sequel to Walter Tevis' novel The Man Who Fell To Earth, about an extraterrestrial who lands on Earth in an attempt to save the people of his planet, which is suffering from a severe drought.
Directed by Ivo van Hove (A View from the Bridge), the production will star Michael C Hall (best known for playing the titular serial killer in Dexter) who will reprise the lead role of Thomas Jerome Newton which he played when the production opened in November 2015 at New York Theatre Workshop in Manhattan.
Michael Esper and Sophia Ann Caruso will also reprise their roles as Valentine and Girl.
Bowie's last public appearance before his death in January this year was at the opening night of the production.
In his review for TheaterMania, Zachary Stewart said the musical was "thrilling to behold", Alexis Soloski for the Guardian called it "unapologetically weird", and in his review for Rolling Stone, Kory Grow claimed "the plot is coherent, the songs are great and the performances are kinetic."

Lazarus runs at King's Cross Theatre from 8 November to 22 January, with previews from 25 October.
