The London Musical Theatre Orchestra has announced its 2018 season, following its hit productions of State Fair, Candide and Mack and Mabel.

First up is Lerner and Loewe's Camelot, which will play the London Palladium on 6 October. The first time the show has been in the West End in over thirty years, the concert production will celebrate the centenary of Alan Jay Lerner's birth. Casting is to be announced.

This will be followed by Howard Goodall's Girlfriends at the Bishopsgate Institute on 2 and 3 November. Starring Lucie Jones (Legally Blonde) as Lou and Lauren Samuels (Bend It Like Beckham) as Amy, the musical follows recruits of the Women's Auxiliary Air Force (WAAF) on an RAF Bomber Command base during the Second World War.

LMTO's final production of the year will see them return to Alan Menken, Lynn Ahrens and Mike Ockrent's musical adaptation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. The concert returns to the Lyceum Theatre after sell-out presentations of the show there in 2016 and 2017. Casting is to be announced

London Musical Theatre Orchestra's conductor and founder Freddie Tapner, said: "It is a great privilege to be able to bring such a diverse range of stories to our audience across 2018, in what is our biggest and boldest season to date.

"What unites Camelot, Girlfriends and A Christmas Carol is the sensational music at the core of each show, which will be brought thrillingly to life by the London Musical Theatre Orchestra at each concert."
