We popped into rehearsals to find out how the cast of State Fair are getting on, ahead of London Musical Theatre Orchestra's first public concert on Sunday – Rodgers and Hammerstein's State Fair.

The musical will be performed by Clive Carter, Richard Fleeshman, Emma Hatton, Wendi Peters, Oliver Savile and Celinde Schoenmaker.

State Fair features songs such as "It Might as Well Be Spring", "That's for Me" and "More Than Just a Friend". The production first opened on Broadway in 1996 and tells the story of the Frake family who visit the Iowa State Fair in the summer of 1946.

Under director Thom Southerland, the musical will be performed in London for the first time. LMTO was launched earlier this year, and is the first professional orchestra dedicated to musical theatre.

State Fair runs at Cadogan Hall on 6 November. Click here to book tickets.
